Cobra Elegance is a fiberglass cuddy cruiser that has proceeded from a customer-to-customer exclusive boat to the production line.
This light and responsive boat shows outstanding sailing characteristics and responsiveness. Special hull design provides great time-to-plane acceleration, lifting the entire running surface, minimizing the drag and improving fuel efficiency, while deep keel under the stern gives remarkable navigability.
Sports design gives the boat spectacular looks. Working out the interior mounting, the engineers made their best to attain the perfect union of functionality, respectability and comfort. Six persons can easily take their seats in the spacious cockpit. Equipped with all the amenities for comfortable voyages, e.g. roomy cabin, rationally located lockers and storage cubbies, etc., Cobra Elegance is perfect for recreation. According to the owner’s preferences, Cobra Elegance may be additionally equipped with many options to become a unique water-craft.
Cobra Elegance is great for both sea voyages and professional use. The Emergency Control Ministry of Ukraine has already purchased several boats for wrecking diving operations – models equipped with reinforced boarding ladders to let the divers climb onboard wearing full equipment.
Choice of the engine depends on the service conditions, water area and mooring method. Till recently, Cobra Elegance has been produced only for outboard motors. Availability of high-class Johnson, Evinrude and Tohatsu outboards in the market lets you make an optimal choice of the engine for your boat. At that its mounting takes no extra expenses because the universal design of the Cobra Elegance transom allows facile, prompt and reliable mounting of any outboard motor. These motors take no space in the cockpit they are easy and inexpensive for use, maintenance and service and possess excellent acceleration.
Why then did the Cobra Elegance developers turn to the stationary engine? The principal reason was that the boat with a stationary power unit is a higher class craft and a considerable step forward in the Cobra Elegance model range. Moreover, stationary engine is even more reliable, fuel-efficient, it has a longer service life, improves the boat centration and it’s exceedingly maintenance undemanding and produces lower noise level. Besides, the dimensions of Cobra Elegance 2050 are ultimate for a boat with an outboard motor. For bigger boats inboards (stationary engines) are a basic option.
The very first launch showed that the inboard enabled Cobra elegance to demonstrate all the advantages of its design. It improved the boat’s stability, made the course-keeping qualities even more precise and facilitated time-to-glide acceleration. Owing to apt engineering solution the useful space of the cockpit was increased permitting to place an aft two-seat couch that can be transformed into a Sun Deck.
The first Cobra 2050 Elegance with an inboard engine MerCruiser 4.3 L (190-220 H.P. on the propeller shaft) was tested and conveyed to the purchaser early in summer, 2004. The inboard model range was replenished with another modification in September, and is going to be widened in the nearest future. But you had better keep in mind that what ever variant of Cobra Elegance you try – you’ll make sure that it indeed justifies its bold nickname “Wild Thing”.
